We are upgrading all qualified PCs, genuine and non-genuine, to Windows 10,” he said in a telephone interview with Reuters. The plan is to “re-engage” with the hundreds of millions of users of Windows in China, he said, without elaboration.
Those are the words of Microsoft’s Terry Myerson. In an unprecedented move against Piracy, Microsoft will give customers having both genuine and non-genuine copies of Windows 7 or Windows 8 the ability to upgrade to Windows 10 for free! And this move
And as a Windows Phone Developer, I agree 100% with this move. Upgrading to Windows 10 is now a no brainer. Once Windows 10 will launch in Summer, and hopefully all Windows 7 and Windows 8/8.1 users will upgrade to Windows 10, developers that create apps for Windows Phone will have a larger market to develop for when creating Universal Apps.
The more the users, the more market share, and the more the interest in building Apps for Windows 10. The more Apps, the more people will start buying and using Windows 10 phones and PCs.
I like this new Microsoft 🙂
