Project NINE | Launching 29th November
Finally the day has come, for Malta to experience a new concept in web development on www.nine.com.mt. Today we just made our first advert on the timesofmalta.com as till now is going very good.
Clients will have many features for a small price. Stay tuned as we’re going to reveal more before Monday!
Why the word Project?
We chose the word project instead of concept or design for the simple fact that this website will be always evolving. There are so many things that we have ready for it. And we are the type of persons that listen.
Why Nine?
We chose the number Nine as it is a magic number. It’s amazing what Try this…
- Multiply any number by nine (be it 10, or 15, or thousands or millions).
- Then repeatedly add the digits of the resulting number until it is just one digit
- You’ll end up with NINE
Next are some examples:
2 × 9 = 18 (1 + 8 = 9)
9 × 9 = 81 (8 + 1 = 9)
234 × 9 = 2106 (2 + 1 + 0 + 6 = 9)
578329 × 9 = 5204961 (5 + 2 + 0 + 4 + 9 + 6 + 1 = 27 (2 + 7 = 9)) Continue reading »

Websites June Refresh :]
Just updated my websites to be all showing the same theme.. to start the month of June in style
Previously they only had the logo but now made some touch ups and really hope you like them.
With these designs i’m trying to make an identity for my sites… following more or less the same design principles. For now they only have one page so there’s not much to see… but they are still much better than before
You can access my websites using the below links..
Deep Design is my main brand and is the one I use when developing websites for clients.
Ciappara.com is the new place that this blog will be moving to. It’s still being developed and will let you know when it’s ready.
Homes.com.mt is a new project that will be launching.. but i’ll have more details on this later
When I have more updates, I’ll let you know… btw hope you like the design
If you have any comments or suggestions (which I too have many :]) please let me know.
Regards,
Clive Ciappara

The Road to BSc in Creative Computing
So, hi guys. This week I made something without thinking, I read about a course (MSc in Computer Gaming), and here I am two days later, I’ve just applied for a BSc in Creative Computing as a part-time student with the University of London (although i’ll be staying in Malta). I had to start from the BSc to then continue for the Masters in Computing.
So, I tried to apply for the BSc but since i don’t have an A-Level or Intermediate in Maths, I had to start from the Diploma in Creative Computing. The difference is that instead of finishing the course in 3 years, i’ll finish it in 4 years, 2 for the Diploma and 2 for the BSc (since the 2 years for Diploma account for the first year in BSc). The units in the first year of the BSc and the units of the Diploma are the same. The only unit extra in the Diploma is the Mathematics for Business (those who have at least an Intermediate in Maths should be fine and start from the Bsc).
What will I be doing? For those of you who are interested in this course, i’ll be writing what’s happening during the duration of the course, first the Diploma than the BSc. It will be a long journey to do but it will be interesting. Continue reading »
