Welcome to the new Microsoft Band
Microsoft just launched the new Microsoft Band. Next are some specifications about the Microsoft Band:
- Curved Gorilla Glass
- Build-In GPS
- Sleep Monitoring
- UV monitoring
- Social Updates
- Cortana Integration
Microsoft also added the 11th Sensor, a Barometer, good for biking/hiking.
It has all the functionality between Windows, IOS, and Android and it will be available for pre-order today for $249.

How to use Cortana outside the US?
Thanks for asking Cortana 🙂 and thanks for making my Windows Phone better. Yesterday Microsoft released Windows Phone 8.1 to all Windows Phone developers. To download you have to have a Windows Phone Store account and the app Preview for Developers installed on your phone. One of the most awaited features of the 8.1 update was Cortana, Microsoft’s new personal assistant for Windows Phone. Amazing Blackberry Website for their Launch
That’s how I thought it was going to be, full of their new Z10 and Q10 mobile specs, showing the new Blackberry 10 features…. but all I got was a 404 Page not found message!! Don’t know if it only loads for non US users, i.e. maybe for Europeans only.
But please BlackBerry, on your biggest launch ever, you should have made sure that everything works fine, including one of your most important marketing options, your website!!

New Live Tiles
- You can now resize the live tiles small, medium and large, making more space for tiles
New Lock screen powered by Live Apps
- For example Facebook is allowed to update your lock screen where you can be greeted by the latest photo updates
Skype App
- Runs always in background and uses really few resources so the battery isn’t drained
- Terrific video chat
46 out of the top 50 apps will be available on Windows Phone like
- Temple Run
- Urbanspoon
- Angry Birds Star Wars
- Jetpack Joyride
- Pandora will include a whole year with no ads
Data Sense
- Every web page is compressed before sent to the user.
- It finds wifi hotspots, prefers wifi against 3G and helps you manage your data usage.
- With data sense on, you can browse 45% more web pages.
Kids’ Corner
- You can choose which games you allow your kids to play
- Swipe left from the lock screen to get to the kids corner
- And you can stay quite.. while your children are playing safe games
- Kids can custom tile sizes, change app positions
